Urban areas as specific biotop for vegetations
Summary. Identification of vegetation role is an important issue for improvement of life standard of people in urban areas. Environmental factors such as climate, soil layer, hydrology, which are modified by human activity, have got a serious impact on vegetation in towns and cities which for example results in lower productivity of plant biomass or shorter vegetation period than in country areas. Moreover succession process is very common in urban areas and it may lead to the appearance of alien species in plant communities. They usually cover areas which were altered by humans. These types of vegetations which grow practically without nurturing could be recommended as a cheap and easy to cultivate plant material for towns and cities especially on urban areas of extensive use.
Key words: urban areas, vegetations and plant species, abiotic and biotic conditions, synanthropization
