Acoustic screens for the limitation of road noise on the example of Kęty

Abstract.

The paper presents the application of acoustic screens on the example of traffic roundabout situated in the Mickiewicza street in Kęty (northern by-pass of Kęty). Permissible noise levels in environment are quoted. Basic parameters and requirements of acoustic baffle as a protection means to counteract noise were presented. Moreover, profiles of various kinds of materials used for soundproof barriers manufacturing were presented.
