Chlormequat and metconazole in the growing of garden geranium (Pelargonium hortorum L.H. Bailey) ‘Aida’
Part II. Macroelements status of plants
Abstract.

The main aim of the studies was estimation of chlormequat and metconazole influence on the macroelements nutrient status of geranium ‘Aida’. Potted plants were sprayed once with plant growth regulators. Chlormequat was used and it contained Cycocel 750 SL preparation in concentration 1125 mg·dm-3 and metconazole contained Caramba 60 SL preparation in concentrations: 600 and 900 mg·dm-3. Different influence was found of plant growth regulators on the content of nutrients in geranium leaves. Tested retardants significantly influence the increasing content of phosphorus, with simultaneous decreasing of potassium content in leaves. There was no retardants influence on the content of calcium, magnesium and nitrogen – except Cycocel preparation. Significantly higher content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and calcium characterised the upper geranium leaves comparing with bottom leaves of plants.
