The flow capacity and morphological bed changes on the section of the Wieprzówka mountain stream
Summary.

The paper shows results of measurements made on the part of the Wieprzówka mountain stream. Measurements were made in September 2005 and October 2007. The research consisted of drawing grain size distribution curves, longitudinal profile and simulated water surface level for discharge Q1% and investigation of local weirs, bridges and culverts. Based on the measurements considerable bed changes were found for depth of 1 m and changes in grain size distributions. Before the freshet the mean grain size dm was 0.049 m and after passage of flood to the 0.021 m in the cross-section km 17+140. The volume of accumulated bed material on the length of the measured section of the Wieprzówka stream was 590 m3. The analysis of passage conditions on the measured section shows changes of flow capacity on different parts of the section. Depending on the cross-section discharge Q1% (discharge of 1% annual exceedance probability) is located in the main channel. In the other cross-section discharge Q10% made flood hazard.
