Analysis of forest stands stability in relation to strong winds

Abstract.

The paper shows the results of the investigation on critical moments for different trees species: Pinus and Alnus. The critical moment was measured the moment trees were uprooting. The results were compared to critical fall over forces of strong wind. The obtained results allow estimating the stability of forest stand on the basis of sizes of tree crowns and soil parameters.
