Map of ecological risk on maintained water-courses

Abstract.

The paper presents the evaluation of ecological risk of maintenance work on water courses. Based on the field investigations on water-courses, where one segment was maintained and the other not, quantitative changes were found in water-invertebrates. The range and the frequency of the changes have been the base to make evaluation of hazard and probability of these occurrences in this animal group as a consequence of the maintenance work. On the basis
of these data a map of ecological risk was prepared. This map can be used in planning and execution of maintenance work.
