Leisure opportunities for people with impaired vision in selected parks and squares in Warsaw

Abstract. Landscaping criteria such as availability, accessibility, recognizability and utility were used to evaluate relaxation opportunities for people with impaired vision within the seven selected parks and squares in Warsaw. In each object the following elements were evaluated: communication arrangement, water arrangement, landscape, facilities and small architecture, plants and user information system. The analysed factors are characterized by a significant number of barriers which prevent people with impaired vision from using the object on their own, moving freely around them and using the relaxation area in full extent.
