Problems of the safety conditions of Włocławek dam

Abstract. The dam on the Vistula river in Włocławek has been used for more than thirty years. Its safety conditions are unsatisfactory and it causes same fears and also certain problems combined with its exploitation. The research and the safety evaluation prove, that there is a danger of damage or even of the building disaster. It is a result of unfavourable conditions downstream (erosion) caused by giving up the Low Vistula River Cascade project. This document contains a description of the technical condition of the building, the unfavourable conditions causes same fear and the solutions proposed in to improve the current status.
